We Celebrate Her Life

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Margarita Carrasco, who departed this life peacefully on May 5, 2025, at the age of 72.

Margarita was born on December 18, 1952, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and later made her home in El Paso, Texas, where she built a life rooted in love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family.

She was the beloved mother of Oswaldo and Cynthia “Cyndi” , and a devoted grandmother to Miguel , Vanessa , and Sarah. Margarita’s family was the joy of her life, and she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them with warmth, faith, and quiet wisdom.

She now joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Rafael , and precious granddaughter, Sophia , who preceded her in death. Though deeply missed, her love, resilience, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Private services will be held on May 8, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home, 480 N Resler Dr, El Paso, TX 79912. A funeral Mass will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and she will be laid to rest at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

Margarita will be remembered for her open heart, her comforting presence, and the grace with which she lived. Her legacy of love remains a lasting gift to her family and all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in eternal peace.
